“For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.” (Romans 12:4-8)
At Eberly’s Mill COG we understand (as all faithful, God fearing, Christ loving churches understand) that the “church” is the body of believers, not a building or a span of time on Sunday morning. Because of this there are many small groups and ministries that gather together during the time between Sunday morning services. Some are formal, with leaders, schedules and titles. Others are just groups of people who gather together with common interests or abilities to meet needs as they arise. Below are some of the main ministries that Eberly’s Mill offers:
Women’s Ministry: Women of all ages, backgrounds and abilities who gather together for fellowship and to meet the needs of each other and the church.
Men’s Group: Men of all ages, backgrounds and abilities who gather together for fellowship and to meet the needs of each other and the community.
Women’s Prayer Group: Women who meet on a weekly basis for fellowship and to pray for the needs of each other, the church, and the community.
Youth Group: A time of fellowship, fun, learning, and worship for young adults lead by our Youth Pastor Josh Lance. It is a time and place for teenagers to get together and just be teenagers in a safe, God honoring environment. There are weekly gatherings at Eberly’s Mill but there are also monthly trips and events.
Senior Life Group: At time for the young at heart to meet for fellowship and activities.
Choir, Bell Choir, Worship Band: Groups of people with the gift of music to enjoy fellowship and worship God with music.
Children’s Ministry Team: Adults who meet monthly to plan lessons, activities and events for the youth of our church.
If you are interested in checking out any of these groups, please contact our office or check the “Events/Newsletter” page for events and meeting times.
